Before voting!
Open Christmas tournament information by looking at top of page, Right click on "Christmas Tournament" Link and chose "Open in New window"
Note there are different sheets shown in the excel document.
Sheet 2 is the standings
Sheet 1 is original schedule and playoff format. If you prefer this one....vote for option 1
I have worked on two other possibilities as well
Option 2 is a SINGLE elimination tournament. All 30 team are seeded and play off in single elimination until there is a winner NCAA style. YOu LOSE and your tourney is over. IF you like this vote #2
Option 3 is DOUBLE elimination where if you lose out in the main tourney you drop into the lower charts and the tourney continues for those people until you lose twice...then you are OUT
This will crown a second champion in the consolation side and allows more people to be involved in the tournament longer.....thus keeping up interest....if you like this option vote #3
I have no preference....but just spent some time putting the option out there........i want this tournament to be a success and maybe something that is done each year........so i want it to be good.......
please choose carefully and feel free to post your thoughts...

I like the idea of a double elimination just due to the fact that some of the divisions were filled with weaker teams and others filled with strong teams. This will give everyone a chance and will last longer.

The only problem I see is the fact that some teams went in a hard division, while other teams sand bagged and specifically went in a div with weaker opponents.
There was allot of time and effort put into making this tournament a huge success.
I am in with the majority, just not sure why we are evening looking at switching things up after all of the work that has gone into it,

the dividions won't matter cause everyone will be rated after the round robin.........so no one knows who they will play in the playoffs

Don't like double elim......If your team ain't good enough , too bad. this style plays against powerehouse teams like mine and Ron's (not Tom)...

it doesn't really......after your first lose you are relagated down to the consolation..........
its more of a second chance pool below than a double knockout..........but two losses and you are done for th tourney.
